INVITATION FOR FINANCIAL BIDDING
In furtherance to the advertisement made in two national dailies The Sun and Daily Trust Newspapers of 31st January, 2018, inviting contractors for the expression of interest for pre-qualification; the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board in compliance with the Procurement Act and guidelines on public procurement and awards of contracts, hereby invites pre-qualified contractors for Financial Bidding for the Civil and Supply Construction/Renovation works in Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in Enugu State as contained in the 3rd -4th Quarters 2013 and 1st – 3rd Quarters 2014 UBEC/ENSUBEB Action Plan for intervention Projects.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION /SCOPE
1. Renovation and Re-construction of Moderate/Highly Dilapidated Class Room Blocks
2. New Construction of Class Room Blocks
3. White Marker Boards
4. Plastic Seats/Lockers
5. Sporting Equipment
i. The Pre-qualified/Shortlisted contractors and the list of Scoped Schools for intervention have been pasted on the notice Board of the following Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
• Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB)
• Ministry of Education
• Ministry of Works and Infrastructure
• Ministry of Finance
• Budget Monitoring and Due Process
ii. All costs incurred by bidders in response to this invitation shall be borne by the respective contractors/companies.
iii. Contractors who had worked for the government of Enugu State or any of its agencies and have poor/bad history of performance, abandonment, termination and/or un-approved prolonged completion period need not apply.
iv. All successful bidders are required to possess and present a performance bond of 50% and a 15% APG of the contract sum.
v. All pre-qualified contractors are to collect bidding documents from the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics Department of ENSUBEB upon payment of non-refundable fees of N50,000.00 for Civil Works and N30,000.00 for Supplies, for the LOT with 2% Bid Security Certified Bank draft for each Lot.

SUBMISSION OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS
All bidding documents should be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope marked bidding for Construction, Renovation, White Marker Boards, Plastic Seats/Lockers and Sporting Equipment. The bidding documents should contain the name of the School, type of work and Lot Number of the project and should be returned to the office of the Executive Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board on or before 4pm Wednesday, 12st March, 2018. The bid opening will be on the 22nd of March, 2018 by 9:00am at the Premises of ENSUBEB, Enugu.
